AACNMember Schools Lead Efforts to Address Vaccine HesitancyÌý

AACNhas been awardedÌýfunding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to launch a new initiative developed to help nursing school faculty and students have effective conversations about COVID-19 vaccinations in order to boost consumer confidence. Ten participating AACNmember schools are undertaking a variety of education and communication activities to reach individuals and populations at risk. These activities include engaging with faculty and staff on how best to share credible COVID-19 vaccine information and respond to misinformation (including on social media); developing learning resources and nursing curricula to improve vaccine confidence; and connecting with health departments and community organizations to reach target populations. AACNLeads Effort to Prepare New Nurses with Stronger Skills in Leadership and Resilience

AACNis pleased to announce an initiative focused on building leadership capacity in new nurses with a special emphasis on developing essential skills in resilience, self-care, and well-being. This two-year project, titledÌýA Competency-Based Approach to Leadership Development and Resilience for Student Nurses, was launched with funding from the Johnson & Johnson Foundation in partnership with the Johnson & Johnson Center for Health Worker Innovation. New Scholarship Programs to Support Future Nurses and Nurse Faculty

AACNis proud to partner with Scrubin UniformsÌýto launch a new scholarship for nursing students in baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Administered by 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™sÌý, this new program will provide $2,500 scholarships to nursing students from AACNmember schools with a formal affiliation agreement with Scrubin Uniforms.
