AACNSubmits Comments on Medicare Relief Red Tape Project

On August 25, to a request from the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health. The call for comments allowed stakeholders to share solutions on how to reduce Medicare 鈥淩ed Tape鈥 though regulations and mandates and ultimately improve seniors鈥 health care. AACNdelineated four barriers that inhibit the efficiency in the Medicare system including, membership on Medicare Advisory Committees, accurate provider attestation, Accountable Care Organization assignment, and improved Medicare patient access to home health services. AACNarticulated in their letter to the subcommittee that addressing these barriers would lower costs and improve the quality of care for this vulnerable population.
