OHIO University Chillicothe is seeking candidates for an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing. Available August 1, 2023, to teach core nursing courses such as Pharmacology, Medication Administration, Assessment, and Medical Surgical and/or Pediatrics Nursing. This is an 11-month full time appointment/non-tenure track position.
This is an in-person teaching position, primarily in the classroom setting at the Chillicothe campus. It may also include teaching lab and/or occasional clinical assistance as need arises. Teaching will be at the Associate degree andBSNlevels. The individual is expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using various methods and delivery modes as part of a unified team.
Service activities will occur within the School of Nursing (SON), the College, the Regional Campus, and the discipline of nursing. Service activities will include, but may not be limited to SONcommittees, special assignments, active participation in professional groups, and relevant community activities.
All School of Nursing faculty members are expected to collaboratively and actively engage in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student instruction and to participate in School of Nursing governance to ensure program standards and outcomes are fully met.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed and conferred Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of three years (36 months full time equivalent) of clinical work experience as an RN in the United States is required.
- An active and unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for obtaining and maintaining an Ohio RN license is required.
- Must have Ohio RN license prior to start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in a specialty area of nursing practice or as an APRN.
- Virtual and face-to face clinical, simulation, and online education experience in a nursing program is preferred.
